Barry* is hard-working and always looking for ways to upskill and improve his circumstances. By working with his Realising Potential Specialist he gained the confidence to take his next steps towards his long-term goal - becoming a full-time freelance photographer.
As part of his Personal Success Plan, Barry was given the target of finding and reaching out to a course or qualification he felt would support his progression. It was also important that he found this manageable alongside his full-time job. Barry identified an Open University course that he was really excited to explore, and after some conversations with their team, decided he would like to apply for Aspiration Pot funding for the course and equipment.
Barry's Open University and Aspiration Pot applications were both successful, and before beginning his course he said:
"I'm so, so excited to start the photography course - once again thank you for everything, I really appreciate it!”
