Two of our tenants have successfully pursued their driving goals thanks to help from our Realising Potential Specialists (RPSs) and Aspiration Pot funding.
Mr J and Ms S worked with our Realising Potential Specialists to create Personal Success Plans (PSPs). In their PSPs they each expressed a driving-related ambition: Mr J wanted to become a driving instructor, while Ms S was keen to pass her driving test.
Using their PSPs they were able to apply for Aspiration Pot funding to cover the cost of the Red Driving School’s courses. Red Driving School is one of our partners and they have generously offered a £500 discount for our tenants who enrol in their instructor course. They also provide a discount on any driving lessons we book through our PSPs.
Mr J is currently working towards his qualification and he is very excited about his future prospects. He said:
"I’m so grateful for the opportunity to do this course and achieve my dream. I made a promise to myself - once I qualify, I want to have a massive feast for the local homeless community to celebrate my win."
Ms S has recently completed her PSP and passed her driving test with flying colours. She said:
"The Realising Potential Specialists really care about helping us achieve our best and not feeling alone in that process. The funding has helped me reach my goal significantly faster by removing the barrier of financial hardship."
We are very proud of both Ms S and Mr J and we wish them all the best in their driving careers. We hope their stories inspire more of our tenants to pursue their aspirations and apply for our Personal Success Plans and Aspiration Pot funding.
